WELCOMING SPRING WITH MARC JACOBS DAISY DREAM

Spring is such a beautiful time of year. The air is sweeter, the birds are singing, wild flowers are blooming and new life is constantly beginning. This season is one of my favourites out of them all.

This chapter of the year is centred around the idea of re-birth, growth and in some cases, new beginnings. I'm starting my new chapter in high spirits, just as nature intended.

If you’re considerably new around here, you may not know, but I regularly update my readers with a fragrance that has caught my attention in recent weeks.

My wandering eye fixates on unique perfume bottles, but sometimes I may catch part of a buzz around a certain scent. Admittedly that’s usually because the perfume has not long been launched.

None the less, all of the fragrances that I have written about have stood the test of time. I love them all as much as I did on the days, I reviewed them.

To me, a scent is like an accessory. Different brands fit my mood from day to day and from day to night. It all depends on the time of year, what I’m doing, what time of day I’m doing something e.c.t

Sometimes I just fancy something sweet and I actually have a fragrance in mind that I go to when I’m in this mindset. Other times I need something a little darker, a tad richer and a little more mysterious.

This is usually something that I look for in a fragrance that I’m planning on wearing of an evening. It just makes me feel more dressy and ready for the event ahead.

In general, wearing a fragrance is a part of my routine when getting ready for the day ahead. I do have a little fragrance collection going on, but honestly, I wouldn’t swap any of them for anything.

I LOVE them all and today’s dream of a scent is no exception. So, let me introduce you to the fragrance which has captivated me this Spring. Enter Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream:

To me, Daisy Dream is sweet, feminine, innocent and flirty. It is the pinnacle of sweet Summer scents, but crosses that line from little girls playing in a garden to a goddess roaming fields of flowers in bloom.

A fragrance doesn’t have to be deep, dark and musky for it to make an appropriate statement. Whether you’re a mature lady who adores her florals, a young woman who appreciates a delicate scent, or a teenage girl who is experimenting with fragrances, Daisy Dream is every innocent’s go-to scent.

ABOUT DAISY DREAM

Light and airy, Daisy Dream is a scent which I’m sure you will have encountered before, either through word of mouth, or perhaps at some stage you yourself have owned this scent?

Regardless of previous encounters, it is a NEW addition to my perfume collection and what better time is there to talk about something that I’m sure was made for the purpose of Spring? Daisy Dream really is like something from the imagination.

“Daisy Dream captivates the senses with its delectably fruity and floral personality. From the first hints of blackberry, fresh grapefruit and succulent pear, Daisy Dream draws you in with her easy charm and an irresistibly feminine mix of jasmine flower, lychee and blue wisteria.

As a finish, the fragrance lingers on the skin, drying down to a dreamy finish of white woods, musk, and an elusive hint of coconut water.”

That’s right... coconut water. I’m a HUGE fan of coconut flavours and scents and now that I’ve discovered a perfume with coconut in, I think I’m in heaven! It’s just so dreamy.

Now I know this is a bit of an unpopular opinion (or so social media would have me believing it is), but pineapple and coconut are awesome! You can put pineapple on my pizza any day.

But going back to the review at hand, if you’re not a huge fan of coconut, I do have some good news for you. The scent is very faint in that way. I can detect it because I really love it, but it does blend very well with the main ingredients.

To be completely honest, if you didn’t know it was in there before I told you, you probably wouldn’t have worked it out by taking a sample yourself. So, if you’re not a big fan, I wouldn’t let that put you off! Give it a fair trial by hearing what Daisy Dream has to offer before deciding against the Dream in Daisy form.
