I can’t believe that we’re already over half way through the first month of the new year, I hope that you’re all having a wonderful start to 2020! It’s officially been decided (by me) that this year is going to be amazing.
I’m making it my mission to make things happen in my work life, in my personal life and where any unexpected opportunities are concerned. I want to travel and spend time with the people I love while making amazing memories. Making things happen is actually one of my new year’s resolutions, and I feel like it’s one of my best ones yet! It’s a broad statement so, it covers a LOT of ground and it’s precisely for that reason that I think it’s going to be a really easy resolution to stick to.
This is something that I want for the long-term so, my motivation for this year has majorly been influenced by thinking about my future. Another factor that I’m also focusing on is spending less and saving more. I’m actively trying to make 2020 my stepping stone year and the next 12 months are going to be my first steps into creating the life that I want to build for myself and family.
So, with that in mind, I’ve been thinking a lot about the people in my life who mean so much to me and I want to show them that I care at every possible opportunity. So, in a few weeks from now, I’ll have my very first opportunity (by calendar event) to show how much I appreciate one of the figures in my life.
Get where I’m going with this? Valentine’s Day is what I’m talking about of course! Now I can hear the singletons moaning and groaning out there as I say the V-word. But it’s not cute to be like the scrooge of Valentine’s Day. Who says you have to be in a relationship to celebrate the people (or person) that you are thankful for anyway?
Trust me, I’ve spent all of my Valentine’s Days so far appreciating everyone who means a lot to me. So, it doesn’t just have to be about whether you’re in a relationship or not. Are family dinners and movie nights dead? Well, they’re not in my house. But this year, I’ve found myself in a really exciting position where I have one extra person to be thankful for, and that is of course my partner.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS BVLGARI MAN EXTREME
This is kind of stating the obvious, but simply put, Bvlgari Man Extreme is a really masculine fragrance. It has that fresh citrusy mix like I mentioned earlier in this article, but it also a woody dry down - yep that's a technical fragrance term I learnt today!
The so called “dry down” of a fragrance basically describes the last stage in the evolution of a fragrance. After the top notes have faded (usually 30 minutes to an hour after application), the middle and base notes remain to mingle, forming the body of the scent. But aside from all that technical talk, I’ll bet you’re wondering what the longevity is like and also what I think about the packaging too?
Well from what I’ve experienced for myself and by reading reviews online, I have to say the longevity is really good. Some would even say that it’s better compared to more expensive fragrances which they have purchased in the past. So, that’s a really HUGE positive when it comes to fragrance shopping, so that always bodes well when I’m browsing to read things like that.
Secondly, the bottle/ packaging is something the women reading this will be more interested in than the men. But hear me out, let me just touch on this quickly anyway for those of you who want to know what my first impressions were. In all honesty, I think the packaging is very smart, swish, efficient and classy.
The compact shape compliments the sizes of bottle available and to me, it just resembles everything a man with sophistication will want in his armoury. There is an overall feeling of affluence and extravagance to the bottle and fragrance, which is something I find really appealing.
It’s also not as warm scented as you may think. Many guys who have worn this fragrance for themselves actually refer to this as a cool icy scent, and guess what? They love it! Apparently as the wearer, guys adore how fresh it makes them feel. So, after learning this and of course checking out the fragrance for myself, it was a no-brainer. I just had to pick up Bvlgari Man Extreme as a gift for him this Valentine’s Day.
