2021 is the year for exploring the heart’s true desires. With restrictions lifting both physically and metaphorically, it’s time to reconnect with the inner soul. I’ve been lucky enough to do a bit of West Country travelling this summer which means that the Cotswolds and Somerset are the current locations on this year’s hitlist.
I think I find myself drawn to these locations because of the outstanding natural beauty that they offer. The Cotswolds in particular is truly one of the most magical places that I have ever visited.
I realise that I sound exactly like my mum here, but her roots with Somerset provide a soft spot for the countryside and as I’ve aged, I can honestly say that the beauty of the hills become more and more apparent on every visit. For me, the scenic views begin to feel more and more like home.
I'm sure that many people can appreciate the English countryside for its obscure beauty and imperfectly perfect “is what it does” persona, but my heart just sings for it. It’s only natural to be drawn to such simplistic beauty and it made me realise that I feel comforted by these surroundings because I live my life simply.
See, I try to embody a carefree way of life that stays by my side, even when I'm hundreds of miles away from the fields of gold. From the most precious of relationships to the everyday moments that make me happy, I find joy in the simple things and that truly represents who I am.
Of course, the most common way that we learn about others on first impressions is via their appearance. If you know what to look for, you can learn a lot about what makes their mind tick and their heart sing.
Take me for instance, my style is soft and feminine, with flowy cuts and loose silhouettes and my spirit is free so, the tones that I choose to embody throughout my makeup looks represent my personality and outlook accordingly.
Based on that, it'll come as no surprise that today’s post is centred around 03 No Doubts, a L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick shade from the Free the Nudes collection. So, without further ado, please welcome my new favourite ultra-matte lipstick by
ABOUT THE L’ORÉAL COLOUR RICHE LIPSTICK
If you haven’t already heard, the new L’Oreal Colour Riche lipstick collection - Free the Nudes, gives the appearance of a long-lasting nude lip for wearers of every skin tone. Each lipstick within the range has been created with an ultra-matte formula, offering highly pigmented colour and light-diffusing gel for an addictive powdery matte finish.
The silky formula of Free the Nude lipsticks has been enriched with essential oils to smoothen the texture of the lips and mattify the skin in just one swipe. As you will discover in today’s L’Oréal lipstick review, each shade within this collection has been carefully designed to ensure that lips remain hydrated and nourished throughout wear, use after use.
Matte and moisturising, all of the L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick shades perfectly highlight and emphasise the lips. Well suited for wear both day and night, Free the Nude lipsticks ensure that your lips are enhanced for all-day beauty.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF THE L’ORÉAL COLOUR RICHE LIPSTICK
A key attribute that comes to mind when I think about this product is simplistic beauty and comfort at its finest. This creamy textured L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick has a long-lasting matte effect that moisturises and cares for the lips throughout the day. I don’t know about you, but often enough, I find matte lip products to be very drying for the skin so, I am pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this formula feels and lasts when worn.
I have received many compliments when wearing my chosen shade of 03 No Doubts and feel that it would compliment many skin tones aside from my own. Free the Nudes is the kind of range where natural features are highlighted. I just adore how the right shade of lipstick can just bring a whole makeup look to life. Is there anything more satisfying than lipstick that just makes the colour of your eyes pop? I don’t think so.
Now this next point I’m about to make maybe a little unexpected, but don’t worry, it’s a pleasant surprise. I’ve found that the lipsticks within this range embody a subtle scent of femininity, reminiscent of gentle notes of baby powder. I’m unsure if others have noticed this fragrance in the same way, but for me, I feel that it adds to the products nakedness, stripping things back to the basics, which is exactly what Free the Nudes as a collection represents.
Within the L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick collection, 12 healthy-looking matte nudes can be discovered for every lip tone. Enriched with essential oils, the formula is ultra-matte, yet ultra-comfortable, giving a lasting finish to a product with durable wear.
Directions for Use:
Before applying this lavish product to your skin, cleanse your lips and allow them to dry fully for a smooth and durable application. Then starting at the corners of your lips, gently apply your desired shade of lipstick at the sides to the centre of your mouth.
As the formula of this lipstick collection is ultra-matte, you may not need to take this next step unless an excess product has been applied. To ensure that the lipstick is matte, simply tear a piece of tissue and place it in between your lips. Press your lips together to blot and remove any excess product.
If you’re about to embark on a night out and want fiercely flawless coverage, I would suggest incorporating a lip brush and concealer into your makeup routine for a crisp clean finish to this
As it happens, I’m currently in the middle of packing for my travels to Somerset and I can say with some confidence that this product will be reached for daily during my upcoming week away. If you’re also looking for a new shade to add to your beauty collection, you won’t be disappointed with a
Trust me, with one of these shades in your purse, there will be no going back. So, that’s it for today’s L’Oréal lipstick review. Have you tried any of the shades within the collection before? What are your thoughts on this brand and its products?
