WELCOMING AUTUMN INTO MY HOME WITH YANKEE CANDLE

I love Autumn. Everything about it makes my heart skip a beat. Where do I begin about what I love the most? The crunchy leaves, hot chocolate, cosy jumpers and thick woollen socks? Crisp fresh air, rosy cheeks or the best TV? What about the food and Halloween? Not to mention the crackling fires and fireworks...

The thing that I adore the most is snuggling up and appreciating everything my loved ones do for me. It's a very reflective time of year for me personally, I guess because it's just around the corner from Christmas and everyone starts to think about gift giving and being together and also it's my favourite time of year if you haven't guessed that much already, so it just makes me really happy.

I cannot wait for this Autumn to take its hold this year and guess what? It's officially the first day of Autumn today (Sunday, 23 September), so this post couldn't of come at a better time...

I wanted to talk about something that's in keeping with the season, which is why I'm going to be reviewing a Yankee Candle in this blog post. Over the years I've been gifted products by Yankee Candle and I've adored each and every one of them.

I think what makes them so appealing to me is that there are so many scents to choose from that you'll find a fragrance suitable no matter the time of year. I like how my home adapts during the seasons and my room is a space that I can call my own, so I take pride in taking care of it and when I've had a clean up, I'll always check to see if my reeds need swapping or I'll light a candle and let it infuse with the space.

Fresh cut roses by Yankee Candle is a classic scent. On first impressions, you'd probably expect this to be more of a spring time or summer fragrance (which indeed it could be), but once lit, it has a slightly more indulgent luxury feel to it, rather than the sharp crispness of fresh cut roses, it could easily fit into the Autumnal season as the leaves and life outside begins to change.

After all, once you've lit the candle, that'll be what the room will smell like, so it's better to base the impressions of the candle scent on this rather than what the candle smells like with the lid popped off. There is a ever so slight difference there and to answer your question if you haven't tried out Yankee Candles before, they do actually smell once lit!

Don't worry it won't be a disappointment. We've all been there where you've gone into a home ware store, picked up gorgeous smelling candles and took them home, only to find that once lit, all you can smell is burning wax.

The candle fragrance itself doesn't seem to come through. This is why I always tend to stick to brands that I know when it comes to fragrant candles, because I know they won't be disappointing and often enough, if they seem too cheap it's because they'll loose their scent once you get them home and light them.

Sorry but it's the truth and I've had to learn the hard way. I mean sure it's a bargain if you're not about the scented candle life but just like having lit candles in your home, but if a fragrance is what you're after, I think Yankee Candle is the best brand to go for!

So, what makes fresh cut roses by Yankee Candle smell so good? Let's get into the nitty gritty details and talk about what makes this candle burst with blooms... The scent fresh cut roses is supposedly a reflection of an intoxicating English garden of fragrant heirloom roses. Sounds blissful doesn't it?
